These are the winners of the MTN Innovation Awards

[/blockquote]While the rest of Uganda is yet to decide on who to steer them for the next five years, the MTN Innovation Awards were in high gear last night to recognize the most outstanding Ugandan innovators, at a colorful dinner held at the Kampala Serena Hotel. Each triumphant entrant/nominee walked away with a series of prizes that included a $1000 cheque, a fixed line phones, a smartphone, an internet router and an Award plaque.

The highly contested awards saw serveral announced winners in 8 categories which included Education, Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Women innovators, Health to mention but a few. The Judges also noticed that some categories like young innovators should be included in such awards next time to boast the next generation of innovators in Uganda. During his speech the MTN CEO, Brian Gouldie said the that MTN will always be at the fore front innovation and announced that the company will be rolling out a digital online SIM card registration tool for its customers.  Since we attended the event lets present to you the winners tweet by tweet.
