Zuku TV Uganda is set to launch its Unlimited home internet packages that come with the usual Digital TV services and Telephone services and this commonly known as a Triple play service. It should be noted that the internet speeds are not dedicated and are capped based on the package you buy. Zuku Fiber is expected to be launched this October at Kabira country club and the services will initially roll-out in Kampala residential areas.
According to a pricing memo that leaked before its official launch, the company will offer 4 Triple play packages. With the Basic package, you will get up to 10 Mbps internet speeds plus TV for UGX 147,000. The Preferred TriplePlay package has internet speeds of up to 20 Mbps plus TV for UGX 197,000. The Premium and Advanced packages come with speeds of up to 40 Mbps and 100 Mbps respectively, and will cost 297,000 and 497,000 respectively. Looks like the prices are so competitive that people can’t wait to try out their services. The Advanced package will come with premium TV channels (See pricing memo below)
The battle to bring internet to homes has just began in Uganda as different ISP are working around the clock to be the market leader in this niche segment. Kwese TV recently partnered with its sister company Liquid Telecom to bring Ugandans the new Kwese Play and Roku Internet TV to their homes.
We shall see what the Wananchi Group owned company will have in store for us when Zuku Fiber is officially launched in Uganda.
