MultiChoice Uganda has officially launched DSTV’s Box Office, a service that will allow it’s subscribers to conveniently rent and watch the latest blockbuster movies in the comfort of their homes. This will be possible for customers using their Explora decoders.
Speaking at the launch of this newest innovation in Uganda’s television viewing experience last week, the General Manager MultiChoice Uganda Charles Hamya said;
[signoff icon=”quote-circled”]“With BoxOffice, all DStv Premium, Compact Plus and Compact subscribers with an active Explora subscription can easily rent latest blockbuster movies and keep such rented movies for up to 48 hours, at a minimum cost of UGX 6, 600 per movie for the whole family to enjoy. The service will give subscribers access to a wide variety of movies ranging from comedy, drama and family movies, to horror, fantasy and a whole lot more.”[/signoff]
All Explora customers who meet the qualifying criteria have already been set up for DSTV’s Box Office. He urged all those with Explora decoders to start renting fantastic blockbuster movies by simply using their Explora remote to access the BoxOffice Screen. The first movie is free and for the other movies you decide to rent, you will use the company’s flexible easy-to-use payment methods as well the QR Code feature offers convenience and simplicity at its best! With up to 20 movies at any one time, the DStv Explora is packaged with a brand new, stylish HD user interface, which makes finding favourite movies on BoxOffice so much easier. All content is displayed in 720p High Definition just like an Internet video service. In addition, the Explora has powerful search features that help subscribers find movies quicker and easier as it searches across the entire Electronic Programme Guide.
