Wishing you a Happy 2014 from the Techjaja crew

Gone is 2013 and in comes 2014 and reflecting back the past 12 months when we were nothing and now; we are rocking the tech scene. We began techjaja in march 17th  2013 and have been able to achieve a lot and as usual credit goes to you, our patriotic readers for supporting us.

According to the independent internet statistics Alexa.com, our website has come from the 10,000th position to now 460th position in Uganda and climbing steadily up in the global position.

We are proud to announce that we have been working round tirelessly to improve the browsing experience for all our users on the desktop. With load times of up to 76% (shown below) which are unbeatable in terms of site optimization compared to other tech-websites in Uganda and we are proud of it. We are currently using Squarespace servers, which significantly reduce the page load times. We acknowledge the “not so” fluid experience for mobile users and we are tirelessly working to improve them drastically which also includes an official techjaja mobile app.

Our featured blogshave been the most read section this year, as it features great content and controversial stories that make an interesting read for most readers. We are also happy to share that our exclusive features such as gadget reviews and our all new start up show called the port are doing really great in the “stats-spheres”. We also started video content that can all be accessed via our YouTube video channel that is growing slowly and steadily, hey feel free to subscribe

The biggest boost came from our social networks and our Facebook members who are currently 4,500 and  Twitter rose up to the 600 figure in a matter of few months.

We were able to blog over 1,200 articles last year and hope 2014 will be better with more engaging tech content within the country and across the globe.

Once again, we thank you for your support in 2013 and we promise to work even harder to bring you some great things in 2014. Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.
