Today, Facebook has published its Year in Review for 2014, a small memory lane showing how much has happened in the last 12 months. The company has created several slides showing the big stories as seen on Facebook. From events like the World Cup, the Ice Bucket Challenge (more than 17 million videos shared) and in the US the Michael Brown / Ferguson.
Facebook’s motive here is to share-centric focal point of discussion — the “newswire,” so to speak.
