Gone are the days when being on a different network with your friend limits you from sending or receiving mobile money from them directly. The money money revolution is getting more and more innovative every year and this app called POKETI removes all barriers on mobile money platforms. The app enables MTN customers buy Airtel Airtime using their MTN mobile money accounts, also Africell customers can send money directly to any registered mobile money account on any other network, something I have personally longed to do. The USSD based app was first rolled out in September last year but gained less traction, its about 1.5 MB and has over 500 installs on the Google Play store. Today, we bring you several ways of how to use POKETI make border-less mobile money transactions.
The app has a minimalist and straightforward user interface with five core features;
1. Send and Receive Mobile Money
You will also be able to simply send or withdrawal money off or on your Mobile Money account to other mobile money accounts across network in Uganda, for example from MTN to Airtel, Africell, UTL, Smart and vice versa.
