Now that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are already on sale, the gadget dissectors from iFixit already went to work on Apple’s first phablet. As always, the device’s dismantlement discloses some cool specs that the company is shy to talk about.
The iFixit teardown reveals that the phones come with 1 GB of RAM and about 2,915mAh battery on board.
The internal layout of the iPhone 6 Plus is similar to that of the iPhone 5s. Naturally, the substantially sized battery takes up a lot of space – it is almost twice as large as the one found in the iPhone 5s.
The camera supports optical Image stabilization and it’s sensor is obviously larger than usual. The front-facing camera on the other hand, is part of a larger assembly that includes the earpiece speaker.
