At last, a glimpse of real unlimited internet finally comes to the pearl of Africa! This is huge news for internet fanatics out there as Smile Telecom Uganda becomes the first telecom to offer Unlimited internet at fairly usable speeds. This is the beginning to the kind of internet we’ve been dreaming of and finally one of the telecos has responded in a rather positive way.
The latest Smile Unlimited bundle dubbed the Smile Premium Bundle will offer uncapped data for a full month at 6mbps at a fixed price of UGX 330,000 and users can use it starting today. In comparison, Africell also offers an unlimited data bundle for UGX 299,000 capped at 512 kbps. This means unlimited data users on Smile’s network will browse at 12 times the speed than Africell. This new Smile offer is the perfect data bundle for online gaming, Netflix video streaming with no worries of being throttled after you reach the Friendly User Policy (FUP) data cap.
