In what we would call picking up on something good from the competition, MTN has also began hosting Internet Expos in Kampala four years after Orange kick-started it’s Expo. From Thursday 8th May to 10th May (Saturday) , MTN is treating its customers to an opportunity to explore what it has to offer in the realm of mobile internet connectivity in the first MTN internet expo at ham towers Makerere.
As the theme goes; “touch, feel and experience” revelers at the expo get an opportunity for hands on experimentation. Exhibiting at the expo, brands such as, Alcatel, Tecno, ZTE, Samsung and Huawei displaying an array of smartphones, WIFI routers and Modems.
This is the first of a series of exhibitions planned through out the year in Kampala, Jinja, Mbarara, Kabale and Lira.
Our goal this year is to push our data products to all our customers, with internet enabled devices, ranging from low to high end; MTN’s Products, handsets and device Specialist – Flavia Serugo.
Questionable user Internet experience
Some people at the expo are however not having the best internet experience as advertised and have used social media to express their frustration especially regarding the slow speeds see Facebook rant below.
