LG is not known for fast updates on its smartphones — and in a surprising move this time round — the company becomes among the first major Android OEMs to update its flagship phones with the latest Android version. The company will update its LG G3 with Android 5.0 Lollipop this week. The Korean manufacturer announced its OS upgrade even before Samsung or HTC have officially released their updates for most of their current flagship phones.
The rollout of Android 5.0 to the handset will begin in Europe and other important markets will follow shortly after.
Android 5.0 Lollipop will bring a several of improvements to the LG G3 on top of its custom Android Skin, which include a new redesign, features, as well as a brand new Android ART runtime in favor of the current age-old Dalvik Enginee.
