Infinix Mobile has quite made a mark on the Uganda market for the short time they have been here given their impressive product category. We have had interactions with their phones before much to our liking like the Note 3 and the Hot 4 both of which they launched with here in Uganda.
Away from the throwbacks, they have yet again introduced new devices in the gigantic Note family namely the Note 4 and the Note 4 Pro and today we’re here to take you through our first impressions of the souped up version with the Pro moniker.
Ladies and gentlemen, we bring you the Note 4 Pro. We were sent the Champagne Gold flavor of the Note 4 Pro though they also have the Sandstone Black, Prussian Blue and Lilac Grey in case Gold is not for you. It came in a pretty minimal packaging with only the phone itself, a fast charger(travel adaptor), micro USB cable, a screen guard, headsets and the usual paperwork. At least with the model we had since there is another version that comes with a cover and the X-Pen whose packaging is bigger than this.
Infinix has trimmed down the screen to just 5.7inches, a few inches from last years 6.0Inches on a metallic unibody packing a gigantic 4500mAh battery to make up the whole slab. The fingerprint scanner is this time around at the front embedded in the home button, a selfie camera with flash next a speaker. The hind has the 13MP primary camera with dual LED flash, Infinix insignia and antenna lines of course for better reception.
The metallic rail has the volume rockers, power button and MicroSD expansion slot on the right while the left has the dual sim tray and three connector pins presumably for attaching or charging the X-Pen.
Here is quick spec breakdown

As much as we would have loved the experience of X-Pen, it was omitted in the package we received but nonetheless the X-Note app worked just fine with normal fingers. The Note 4 seems a solid devices without guesses but with our first interactions with it. The 32GB ROM + 3GB ROM is an awesome deviation from the 16GB + 2GB we are accustomed to with last years Note 3, a solid phone too for its generation.
How the combination of the above spec sheet works will come in a detailed review in a not so distant future, okay weeks from today. The Infinix Note 4 Pro retails for around UGX 750,000 – UGX 790,000 in different retail shops but you can also pick one off Jumia.
