HTC has just announced its unaudited results for the Q2 2013, and they’re worse than we expected. Despite launching a hyped flagship smartphones like the HTC One, the company made just $41 million after tax from $2.35 billion revenue. In the same quarter in 2012 last year, the company took in revenue of $3 billion and $246 million profit. That is over 84 percent drop in profit.
HTC recently reported thats it had sold over 5 million HTC Ones. HTC has always managed to post a profit, even with falling revenues. Soon, the Taiwanese company is expected to launch a companion to
its flagship smartphone. The “HTC One Mini” is thought to be a mid-range device.
