Today we crash on the future of laptops and this concept laptop by Lenovo that has some wild ideas to share. The company has shown off the above image at an event in New York today. This is Lenovo’s idea of the future of personal computing with an image of a bendable laptop with a flexible display. It comes with a full built-in keyboard; and even the signature ThinkPad pointing stick, or mouse nub. Since the laptop is so thin, we expect most of the interaction to happen over voice commands or a stylus. The company Lenovo says that this concept would be achieved through “advanced materials” and “new screen technologies.” Not forgetting future battery technologies.

We don’t think we are even five years away from such laptops to see the light of day so we have to hold onto our horses, at least not for a while. Several companies including Samsung have shown off flexible displays at major international tech events like CES, and yet, we have no flexible displays in our daily lives.
Well lets see how long it will take device makers to bring flexible displays to the mass market in any product.
