[/blockquote]Making calls on WhatsApp however unreliable it is can be a life saver especially if you don’t have airtime on your smartphone. Until December 31, 2015 Vodafone Uganda will offer its existing and new customers free unlimited WhatsApp calls. This comes at a time when the telecom scene in Uganda is set for bitter price wars that has seen both Airtel and MTN Uganda slash their call rates to UGX 3 per second or UGX 180 per minute to any number in Uganda.
For customers to access the free unlimited WhatsApp calls service, they will have to load their mobile phones with Vodafone’s Power bundles shown in the table below with any airtime vouchers between UGX 2, 500 and UGX 20,000. They will also get free voice calls ranging from 10 to 50 minutes on top of the data purchases.
|Power Bundles||Talk Times||Data||Price|
|Daily||10 minutes||100 MBs||2,500|
|Weekly||25 minutes||200 MBs||5,000|
|Monthly||50 minutes||1 GB||20,000|
