Ugandan musicians are now tapping into new digital payment territories. R&B/Soul singer Maurice Kirya and Sula Pay have today announced a partnership to sell copies of this new digital album – Free Dreams – via Sula Pay’s mobile payment system.
The album which gets released today will exclusively go on sale in Uganda via Sula Pay, who help merchants sell their goods and services and receive the payments via Mobile Money. No word on Apple Pay or Spotify releases.
Due to the obvious, frustration and lack of innovative and easy ways creators and especially musicians can sell their products online, this partnership was born hoping more musicains will follow the bandwagon. Sula Pay believes this is the first step in creating a marketplace for creators like Maurice.
The company’s payment platform also processes payments on delivery for Jumia Food and Jumia Market. You can download Free Dream for only UGX. 10,000 using MTN and Airtel Money Here
